Parsley's a lot more than a garnish!🌱Parsley is a member of the carrot family and there are more than 37 varieties. 🌱The two varieties we see most often are the curly leaved (most often used as a garnish) and flat leaved Italian parsley. 🌱Italian parsley tends to more tender and have a stronger flavor than curly leaved parsley. 🌱Parsley has a sweet, tangy flavor that helps bring out the flavor of other herbs in soups and stews.
🌱It can be added to soups, stews, salads, dressings, and omelets. It can also be made into a tea. 🌱I try to add it to everything I can because it has so many health benefits! 🌱 Parsley has a high Vitamin C and Iron content. 🌱 It facilitates oxygen metabolism. 🌱 It cleanses the blood. 🌱 It dissolves sticky deposits in the veins. 🌱 It facilitates the removal of moderately sized kidney stones and gallstones. 🌱 It stimulates the bowels. 🌱 It treats deafness and ear infections. 🌱 Parsley even has anti-inflammatory properties! 🌱Also, chewing some after a garlicky meal helps to eliminate bad breath because of it's chlorophyll content. Do you use it for any other health benefits? Do you use it in your cooking on a regular basis?
