Peas! There's nothing like fresh peas: English peas, Snow Peas, Sugar snap peas. They're all so sweet and crunchy!🌱 Peas can be eaten fresh or dried. Traditionally, they were more often eaten dried.
🌱 There's nothing like the taste and texture of a fresh pea, though. 🌱 The simplest way to divide up the pea types are into field peas, grown mostly for animal forage and to dry and garden peas, with their higher sugar content and fresh flavor. 🌱 The most common varieties of fresh peas are: 🌱 English Peas, which have an inedible pod and crunchy, sweet peas. Asparagus is a treat this time of year!🍴 I really love tossing asparagus with olive oil, salt, and pepper, then roasting it in the oven or on the grill. It's so simple, easy, and delicious.
Yes, sweet potatoes contain more sugar than regular potatoes but about half the starch in general. Plus, unlike other sugary snacks, they are nutrient dense. So satisfy that sweet craving with sweet potatoes! The most interesting fact about sweet potatoes! The incredible, edible kale.Kale is a member of the cabbage family. It's really easy to grow and is resistant to cold, so if you have some space to grow it, give it a try! 🌱 Kale is a terrific internal body cleanser. 🌱 Kale is beneficial for the digestive and nervous system (remember that gut/brain connection. 🌱 Kale builds up calcium content in the body. Beet RootBeets are one of nature's bodily cleansers, which is great to combat the toxic world we live in. They dissolve and eliminate acid crystals in the kidneys, detoxify the liver and gallbladder, and eliminate acid material in the bowel. Wow! Beets also contain contain natural chlorine, which helps wash away fat, which might otherwise build up in the cells of the liver, kidneys, and gall bladder. They also stimulate lymph fluid and lubricate the intestines (ie. helps with constipation). |
