We're back to another grounding root vegetable!

🥕 Carrots and their juice are a great detoxifier when consumed in quantity.

🥕 They are alkalinizing, cleansing, nourishing, and stimulating to almost every system in the body.

🥕 Carrots deliver easily assimilated vitamins, minerals, and enzymes to cells, so that they can slough off wastes and rebuild healthy cells.

🥕 Carrots are one of the best foods for the liver and digestive tract.

🥕 Carrots help kidney function.

🥕 Carrots balance the endocrine and adrenal system.

🥕 Carrots depress blood cholesterol and increase bulk elimination from the colon.

🥕 Carrots help prevent and treat cancer. Beta carotene in carrots appears to protect against cancer on two fronts. First it acts as an antioxidant, second it helps your immune system produce natural "killer cells" that fight cancer and other diseases.

🥕 Carrots contain large amounts of silicon, which strengthens the connective tissue and aids in calcium metabolism.

🥕 Carrots also contain an essential oil that kills parasites and unhealthy intestinal bacteria.

🥕 Carrot soup makes an effective remedy for diarrhea and is easily digestible for people suffering from stomach and intestinal problems.

🥕 Carrots are high in fiber which promotes regularity and prevents constipation.

🥕 The sweetness of carrots, makes it a good vegetable for people that are trying to wean off of processed sugars.

Carrots can be eaten raw as a snack, sliced in salads, sautéed or roasted.

Carrot juice is great for periodic liver cleansing, but note that for more frequent use, you might want to dilute it, as it can spike your blood sugar.

I like to buy them with their greens attached because then I know that they're fresh. Plus, my chickens love the greens!
