The incredible, edible kale.

Kale is a member of the cabbage family.

It's really easy to grow and is resistant to cold, so if you have some space to grow it, give it a try!

🌱 Kale is a terrific internal body cleanser.

🌱 Kale is beneficial for the digestive and nervous system (remember that gut/brain connection.

🌱 Kale builds up calcium content in the body.


This is the best part - kale is a cancer prevention food. While cancer can find the healthiest of people, we can still do what we can to avoid it.

🌱 All brassica genus vegetable contain dithioltiones, which have anti-cancer and anti-oxidant properties.

🌱 Brassicas contain indoles which protect against breast and colon cancer.

🌱 Brassicas contain sulfur which has antibiotic and antiviral properties. Great for this time of year!

🌱 Kale also mildly stimulates the liver and other tissues out of stagnation.

To prepare kale, rip the leafy part away from the stem. Kale can be used in stir fries, chopped up and added to soup, and in salads.
